  1. What is Youth Alumni Membership about?

    The Youth Alumni Membership of Nanyang Schools Alumni Association (NSAA) will serve as a close link between the alumni association and our alma mater.

  2. What are the benefits to join as a Youth Alumni member of Nanyang Schools Alumni Association?

    As a Youth Alumni member, you will be updated on all events organized by NSAA by receiving regular eNotices, get connected via social media platforms like Facebook and you will also receive occasional postal mailings. There will be ample opportunities for you to return to the Nanyang Family of Schools to participate in school events, reminisce with your ex-teachers and stay connected with your ex-classmates and to share your experiences with the juniors through some of these activities. In essence, you will be able to maintain close connections with Nanyang.

  3. What are the charges to join as Youth Alumni Member of NSAA?

    Your NSAA Youth Membership is free of charge until you turn 25 years old; thereafter the Youth Membership will be ceased. You can convert to NSAA’s life membership anytime from the age of 21 years. Youth members are encouraged to apply to convert to NSAA’s life membership after 21 years old.   4. What are the criteria to join as Youth Member of NSAA?

    You will be eligible to join as Youth Member of NSAA as long as you have graduated from any of the Nanyang Family of Schools including Nanyang Girls’ High School (NYGH); Nanyang Primary School (NYPS) and Nanyang Kindergarten (NYK).

    Former students of the Nanyang Schools below the age of 25 may be eligible for youth membership. Their membership will terminate on 31 December in the year they attain the age of 25 or when they become a life member.

    Youth members may at any time convert their membership after the age of 21 to that of life by paying up the entrance and life subscription fees.

  5. Do I have voting rights at NSAA’s Annual General Meetings (AGM)?

    You will have voting rights to cast votes at NSAA’s Annual General Meetings (AGMs) after your application to NSAA’s Life membership has been approved. All former students of the Nanyang Schools may only apply for NSAA’s life membership above the age of 21 years.

  6. What is the difference between NSAA’s Youth Alumni Membership and NYPS Junior Alumni Membership?

    Joining NSAA’s Youth Membership gives you the added advantage of maintaining closer ties with the Nanyang Family of Schools including Nanyang Girls’ High School (NYGH); Nanyang Primary School (NYPS) and Nanyang Kindergarten (NYK).

  7. Which Registration Phase will a Youth Alumni Member be eligible for under Primary One Registration Process?

    Your NSAA Youth Alumni membership status is different from NSAA’s Life Membership status. After you have turned 21 years old, you will be eligible to apply to convert to become NSAA’s Life Member subject to the prevailing membership fee. The current NSAA’s life membership fee is SGD 1000 (accurate as of January 2014). Upon approval of your NSAA’s Life membership application, your child(ren) would be eligible to register according to prevailing Registration Criteria as stipulated by the Ministry of Education (MOE)’s Primary School Registration Phases.

    Under the current MOE Primary School Registration Phases and policy (accurate as of January 2014):

    Phase 2A(1)

    • For a child whose parent is a former student of the primary school and who has joined the alumni association as a member not later one year before (i.e. 30 June 2012 if the child is due to register in July 2013).
    • For a child whose parent is a member of the School Advisory and / or Management Committee.
